Dave Ellis is one of the founders of the modern-day coaching industry. Starting in 1981, he and his staff provided coaching to educators and luminary clients including Nobel Prize winner Mohammed Yunus, best-selling authors Lynne Twist and Jack Canfield, an NBA coach, and many national and international nonprofit leaders, social entrepreneurs, and philanthropists.
Dave started one of the most successful publishing and consulting companies of its time. College Survival Inc. published Becoming a Master Student, which was the best-selling college textbook in the U.S. for over 20 years. The company was valued at $20M when he sold it to Houghton-Mifflin in 1994. He took more than half of the proceeds from the sale and created The Brande Foundation and other nonprofit projects. He and his staff, who helped to start the coaching movement, provided coaching and workshops for thousands of leaders of nonprofits.
