Walter is an executive coach, and consultant. He is the Principal of Crawford Corner, LLC and founding partner of The Soul of Leading Institute, located in the Washington, DC metro area.
Walter has a passion for supporting and developing leaders so they may unlock their full potential and achieve their goals. As a coach his approach is rooted in empathy, encouragement, and a deep understanding of human behavior, allowing him to tailor his coaching style to meet the unique needs of everyone he works with.
As a consultant and facilitator Walter uses his experience and knowledge as a former C-Suite leader, Human Resources and Operations executive to support clients and leaders in a variety of areas to include organizational and leader development; strategic management; equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging.
Walter is particularly skilled at coaching and developing senior executives, mid-level leaders, teams, individuals moving into new leadership roles, strategic development, and leading change management efforts. With his calming and direct approach, Walter can guide and inspire individuals and teams to maximize their abilities for optimal decision-making and achieving their goals. His clients are leaders in federal and local government, tech industry, finance, non-profit, education, and social justice organizations.
Walter believes leadership in its best form is uplifting, supportive, and overall transformational. He is dedicated to supporting his clients on their journey of growth, empowerment, and fulfillment.
Over the course of his career, Walter has worked in multiple high-profile organizations within the District of Columbia government, in addition to Hilton Worldwide. Walter is certified by the International Coach Federation (ICF), and a certified practitioner of several leadership assessment tools. He holds an M.B.A., is a nationally Certified Public Manager with a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma. When he’s not working, Walter enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and playing tennis.
