a)plan coaching

a)plan was founded by some of the most experienced and tenured coaches in the industry.

With the shared belief that true scalability requires a consistent approach, our team of coaching pioneers have combined their knowledge and experience to create just that.

Our Client Commitment

Core to our process is the pursuit of big, lofty goals that have the potential to create life-changing growth for our clients. By nature, our coaches are more invested because the goals at stake require them to be. We’re in it with you, and we understand the importance of having that trusted, confidential thought partner as you strive to make major personal and professional changes.

Our Diversity

At a)plan, Coaching for Everyone™ means prioritizing inclusion and diversity, something we’ve committed to since day one. We’ve recruited some of the top coaches in the nation, 20% of whom identify as Black and a total of 25% of whom identify as People of Color. As an employer and as coaches, we actively work to achieve Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging (DEIB) for all people. This goes for race, ethnicity, age, gender, physical and mental abilities, sexual orientation, and more.

LEARN MORE

From the moment of our founding, we committed to building a team that is diverse in race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and more. We have explicitly supported Black Lives Matter and justice for Black communities by bringing our coaching tools to organizations that are actively working to end racism, including Help A Mother OutNew Media Ventures, Ritual 4 Return, Tara Health FoundationTides Advocacyand Tides Foundation. We have served as consultants to numerous organizations to develop and improve their diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (“DEIB”) practices.

Our stand is for Black justice, and also for Black resilience, excellence, and more. Since our inception we’ve been committed to creating an inclusive community, recruiting some of the top coaches in the nation, 20% of whom identify as Black and a total of 25% of whom identify as People of Color. Additionally, we stand for DEIB for all people, with a track record of diversity in race, ethnicity, age, gender, physical and mental abilities, sexual orientation, and more.

At a)plan, our entire team has weighed in on discussions around DEIB. While we are proud of our track record, we acknowledge that we have at times fallen short of our ideals, and there’s more work to do. Here are some of the ways in which we are deepening our commitment to ending racism and invite you to join us:

  1. Sponsoring our coaches and staff to participate in facilitated Racial Affinity Groups based on Ruth King’s book Mindful of Race
  2. Donating to Equal Justice Initiative
  3. Implementing strategies from The Financial Activist Playbook For Supporting Black Lives, including moving to a community bank
  4. Examining our individual and organizational roles in perpetuating racism. We will continue to build on our DEIB work to date, our vision for doing more, and specific strategies for closing the gap.

We value your feedback and input. Please let us know what we’re doing well on these issues and where we can improve. If you have resources beyond what we’ve listed above, please reach out and use our chat window to share ideas.
